2. Once Upon a Time- Sunday’s at 8:00 pm on ABC. My daughter and I love this show. We watch every Sunday. Imagine all your favorite tales, spun into a modern day story all together. This show is the perfect getaway from reality on a Sunday night.

3. Blackish- Wednesday’s at 9:30 pm, again on ABC. That seems to be a theme here, but it’s unintentional. Anthony Anderson’s take on modern day living for African American families is refreshing and hilarious. It also raises questions that some children might have, and makes it easier to discuss.

4. Supernatural- Thursday’s at 9:00 pm on the C.W. Not a personal favorite of mine, but my teenage daughter loves it! The stories are good, and they revolve around fantasy subject matter which I like. Monster hunters find a new way each week to save the world. I wouldn’t recommended it for younger than teenagers though, some scenes are intense.

5. Big Bang Theory- Thursday’s at 8:00 pm on CBS. One of the funniest shows on T.V. Four scientist friends, and the women in there life experience growing up and becoming adults at a later age. The humor is sometimes high brow, but it introduces many subjects about physics that most kids aren’t asking about. My son and I never miss an episode.

6. Marvels Agents of Shield- Tuesday’s at 10:00 pm on ABC. If you’re a fan of the Marvel movies, you’ll love this show. It gives backstory and fills in the cracks between all the movies. The stories absolutely stand on their own.

7. The Simpsons- Sunday’s at 8:00 pm on FOX. This has been my wife’s favorite show for years. Has to be one of the best family shows of all time. The writing and the voice actors are superior. There is a long list of characters to get to know as well.

8. The Fosters- Returns Tuesday January 31st, 2017 on Freeform. Now you’re saying wait, this is a list for 2016? Well the show aired this year as well, it just doesn’t come back till mid-season. It’s a family drama with LGBT themes. My wife and son love to watch this one together.

9. The Voice- Monday’s and Tuesday’s at 8:00 pm on NBC. Our family isn’t into reality T.V., so this is probably as close as we get. Basically it’s a singing contest that lasts half a season, and has celebrity coaches. There are many talented performers, but the coaches steal the show. Mainly Black Shelton.

10. Last Man Standing- Friday’s at 8:00 pm on ABC. This list wouldn’t be complete without this Tim Allen comedy. He plays a husband, the father of three daughters, and a marketing executive at a huge outdoor retailer. What could go wrong?

Please let us know in the comments who you think we shouldn’t have left out. Hope you enjoyed the list!
